Mission: To create a place where students can learn to interact with the world around them in productive and meaningful ways
The MCR-1 Student Success Center (SSC) was developed in 2013 in order to meet the needs of students who exhibit challenging behaviors. These behaviors impede their ability to be successful academically and socially at school. To support these students, their peers, and their teachers, we offer a wide range of behavioral programs that are based solidly in principles of applied behavior analysis. Applied behavior analysis involves the systematic application of behavioral principles to change socially significant behavior to a meaningful degree.
Goals of our Program:
- Decrease challenging behaviors and increase academic and social success
- Help students become contributing members in their communities
- Provide students with empirically supported interventions that are individualized to meet their unique strengths and weaknesses
- Offer support and education to staff and families
- Remain cognizant of serving students in an environment that offers that least amount of restrictions
- Serve as a resource to neighboring school districts who are in need of consultation and/or training
Services Provided to School Districts:
- Functional Behavior Assessments
- Development of Behavior Intervention Plans
- Ongoing Consultation
- Staff Training
- Student Enrollment in MCR-1 Student Success Center
